On the afternoon of April 17, China-Luxembourg (Zhengzhou-Luxembourg) Economic & Trade Cooperation Summit 2018 on Silk Road in the Air was held in Noble International Hotel, Zhengzhou. He Jinping, vice provincial governor of Henan Province, Cao Weizhou, member and deputy secretary general of the 12th NPC Standing Committee, vice chairman of the NPC Foreign Affairs Committee, and general director of China Overseas-Educated Scholars Development Foundation, Marc Pierre Hübsch, Luxembourg ambassador to China, Yu Yuantang, deputy director of MOFCOM Department of Europe Affairs attended the conference.

Zhang Yanming, head of Henan Provincial Commerce Department, presided over the conference. Participants included more than 150 foreign merchants from enterprises of Cargolux Airlines International, KBL European Private Bankers and World Top 500 such as Logos and Price Waterhouse Coopers Consulting from 17 countries, chairmen of China Top 500 enterprises like Transfar and DTW Group, and over 500 domestic and foreign business and political representatives.

In the conference, Chang Jihong, deputy director of Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone (ZAEZ) Management Committee gave a promotion of ZAEZ that ZAEZ was focusing on improving the “dual hub” construction and the international airline network, developing aviation-oriented industries, and optimizing the construction of supporting facilities. It has made great efforts to build a leading aerial economy corridor in Central Plains to serve China, interconnect Europe and Asia and radiate the whole world. She expressed that ZAEZ hoped to have positive discussions with participants so as to expand fields for more and long-term cooperative opportunities.
