Data from Henan Airport Group shows that the passenger throughput of Zhengzhou airport increased 185.8 percent year-on-year to 12.118 million in the first half of 2023, roughly at the same level for the corresponding period in 2019.

　　The high throughput reflects the frequent economic and trade exchanges, as well as the rapid recovery of cultural tourism sector.

　　The business volume of Zhengzhou airport in terms of cross-border e-commerce and cold-chain fresh products expanded significantly during the January-June period. Specifically, 14.9 thousand tons were contributed by cross-border e-commerce with an increase of 121.1 percent year-on-year, while 2,150 tons by fresh produce, already exceeding the total of last year.

　　Adapting to the changes of world economy, Henan Airport Group has been focusing on the development of such businesses as cross-border e-commerce, cold-chain logistics and domestic cargo transport since January, with its air freight route network constantly being improved.

　　Zhengzhou airport has been sparing no efforts to expand its international passenger routes since January, said a source from Henan Airport Group. So far, 12 international and regional passenger routes have been launched, covering 9 countries and regions worldwide.
