The TIR is a global convenient customs clearance system for cross-border e-commerce cargo freight, based on the International Road Transportation Convention. Vehicles under the TIR agreement will receive one-stop transportation service without any requirement for cargo unloading or reloading throughout the journey. Enjoying exemption from unpacking inspection as well as tax and custom deposit, cargo with correct TIR certifications and intact customs seals could go through customs directly. Featuring flexible transportation and convenient cargo handling, the TIR system realizes one-stop and door-to-door cargo freight service.

By December 7, Zhengzhou Customs has handled 116 cross-border trucks, transporting 1,522 tons of cargo valued at 109.58 million yuan. In the future, Henan will launch more TIR freight routes to Laos, Belarus, Kazakhstan and other countries and regions worldwide, further upgrading its high-level opening-up logistics channel based on road freight to help Central China better integrate into the Belt and Road Initiative.
