Over the years, Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone has adhered to the development of “hub + opening up”, strengthening its function as an international transport hub. Air Cargo Luxembourg has established an aviation logistics pattern of “one point connecting three continents, one line connecting Europe and the United States” in the Zone, operating 8 intercontinental freight routes with Zhengzhou as the center on a regular basis, covering 24 countries in Europe, America and Asia. By the end of 2023, there are 46 passenger airlines operating in Zhengzhou (11 in international regions), 234 passenger routes (18 in international regions), 120 navigable cities (16 in international regions) and 11 countries. In terms of freight, there are 30 full-cargo airlines operating in Zhengzhou (24 in international regions), 49 full-cargo routes (32 in international regions), 61 navigable cities (43 in international regions) and 30 countries. The high-speed train station of the Zone is a super large railway hub connecting Zhengzhou-Chongqing and Zhengzhou-Fuyang high-speed railways and Zhengzhou-Xinzheng Airport Intercity Railway, with dual-function transportation for both passenger and freight. With the operation of the international land port in 2024, Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone will form a four-port linkage of airport, high-speed rail port, international land port and road port and make one-hour-long intercity railway metropolitan circle, 300 km expressway coverage circle and 800 km high-speed rail circle, forming aviation network covering major economies in the world and China-Europe freight international express channel, to promote the transition of transport location advantages to hub economic advantages, and to steadily move towards a modern international world-class logistics hub.
