At around 4 a.m. on March 11, a Boeing 777 all-cargo freighter operated by Korean Air arrived at Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport. Two hours later, it took off for Chicago with 95 tons of cross-border e-commerce goods, marking the successful launch of the two-way Seoul-Zhengzhou-Chicago regular air freight route. It is also the first regular intercontinental direct cargo route operated by Korean Air at Zhengzhou airport.

　　The Seoul-Zhengzhou-Chicago freight route is the first one enjoying the Fifth Freedom Traffic Right opened by Zhengzhou airport this year. Korean Airis planning one flight per week currently, mainly transporting e-commerce parcels, electronic products, etc., operated by B777 aircraft. In the future, the number of flights is expected to increase to three per week. In May 2023, Korean Air opened the Zhengzhou-Seoul international air freight route, with two flights per week.
