The Zhengzhou-Almaty TIR road transport route is now open
On September 23, a TIR truckloaded with 15.7 tons of daily goods, under the supervision of Xinzheng Customs of Zhengzhou Customs, slowly departed fromHenanTIR Assembly Center, headingfor Almaty, Kazakhstan.It marks the official launch of the Zhengzhou-Almaty TIR route, which is the first of its kind opened since the inauguration of Henan TIR Assembly Center.
The freight is undertaken by Zhengzhou Hongyi Transportation Co., Ltd. The truck will exit China through Horgos Port in Xinjiang, with no transshipment throughout the journey. The entire trip will take approximately five days, covering a distance of about 4,000 kilometers.
Since February 2023, Henanhas launched 5 direct international road freight routes from ZhengzhoutoRussia, Uzbekistan, Laos, Azerbaijan, and Georgia. Kazakhstan is the sixth.
"Since January, we have realized China's first TIR freight of fresh-cut flowers and heavy-duty trucks, and unveiled HenanTIR Assembly Center, China's third TIR assembly center certified by IRU and the first one in China's inland region,"said Wang Xiaofeng, deputy director of the Logistics Monitoring Division of Xinzheng Customs.
As of now, Zhengzhou Customs has supervised a total of 328 TIR transport vehicles, ranking first in China. The types of goods include automotive parts, electromechanical products, fresh-cut flowers, food, and daily necessities.Besides, Henan will actively launch new international road transport routes, including those from Zhengzhou to Astana and to Minsk.
