On February 2, the Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone (ZAEZ) announced significant interim results from the ongoing fourth national cultural relics census. Field surveys have been completed across all 17 townships (subdistricts) and 296 administrative villages within the zone, documenting over 700 immovable cultural relics and offering a comprehensive overview of the region's cultural heritage.
The newly registered sites span a wide range of types, including ancient ruins, tombs, historic buildings, as well as important modern historical sites and representative structures. Many previously undocumented historical remains have been officially protected for the first time, further enriching the historical and cultural heritage of ZAEZ. This new documentation provides a solid foundation for scientific conservation planning and the promotion of adaptive reuse.
